Passenger injured when car hits tree

A one-vehicle crash on April 17, Saturday morning in St. Francois County resulted in moderate injuries for the car’s passenger.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 11:48 a.m. on Hillsboro Road, two-tenths of a mile north of Farmer Road. The report stated a 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven by Dwight Q. Buckley, 18, of Farmington, traveled off the right side of roadway, struck a tree and overturned.
While there were no injuries to Buckley reported, his passenger Alisa D. Cunningham, 29, of Farmington, received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.

The patrol reported that neither Buckley nor Cunningham were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
