It’s clear the law has to be on the ball when personal injury cases are a lottery

Your 14-year-old son comes home in a temper because he didn’t get a game in an under-age club match. 

He locks himself in his room and smashes his mobile phone off the wall. Do you, a) tell him you won’t tolerate that carry-on and if he wants a new mobile phone he can pay for it himself; b) advise him to “cop on”, that it’s only schoolboy football after all; or c) consult a solicitor, hire a barrister, engage a psychologist, sue the club for psychological trauma, and pay several thousand euros to hear a judge tell you all to cop on instead?
