A 51-year-old man was injured in a boating accident
last Wednesday evening on Douglas Lake, officers with the Tennessee Wildlife
Resources Agency report.
The
victim got his leg caught in a homemade handle that had been attached to a tube
he was riding behind a boat, investigating Officer Chase Rich reported.
He
was wearing a personal flotation device, and the boat’s occupants were able to
get him to shore. He was treated at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
The
accident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. in the Nina Creek area. TWRA is
investigating.
